Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar 30A Raises $1,850 for Fore Her Inc.
Supporting Breast Cancer Patients in Northwest Florida
SANTA ROSA BEACH, FL: In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, in October and
November, Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar 30A partnered with Fore Her Inc. to raise $1,850 in support
of patients actively fighting breast cancer along the Emerald Coast.
As an Ultra Pink Sponsor of Fore Her’s virtual Pink Walk that took place from October 15th to
November 15th, Shunk Gulley’s team of employees competed to walk the most miles during the
virtual event. The virtual Pink Walk Pre-party was hosted at Shunk Gulley’s open-air venue to
kick off the event, as well as the post-party where the winners were announced via Facebook
Live streams.
During breast cancer awareness month and through the end of the Pink Walk event, Shunk
Gulley offered a specialty drink, the Pink Warrior Mojito, for sale to its patrons. A portion of the
sales made were given directly to the organization and donations were accepted from Shunk
Gulley’s patrons throughout the event month.
“We are honored to help make an impact supporting those fighting breast cancer locally,
especially during these uncertain times.” said George Barnes, Director of Business
Development for Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar. “It’s amazing to see our guests’ desire to pitch in and
help in even the smallest way during their visit with us.”
The Pink Warrior initiative is part of Shunk Gulley’s mission to give back to the local community.
The benefit month welcomed guests to support this mission through their purchase of the Pink
Warrior Mojito while dining at Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar from October 1st through November
15th. Two dollars from each sale of the specialty cocktail were collected and given to Fore Her
in their mission to financially assist local individuals diagnosed with breast cancer and
undergoing treatment.
Fore Her’s vision is to offer resources, hope, compassion and education for all who are affected
by breast cancer in Northwest Florida. Funds raised through this organization are used to pay
for mortgage/rent, utilities or helping with auto repairs for patients to get to treatments. For more
