We do not take reservations or call ahead for seating, as we are a casual dining, first-come, first-serve restaurant. We would suggest you arrive early and if there happens to be a wait, enjoy our outdoor lounge area, Gulf-view, and a beverage while you wait for your table.

We can accommodate large parties in our outdoor tented space that overlooks the Gulf. All of your party must be here to be seated and we can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests to a table.

We do have a lost and found at the restaurant of items that have been left behind. Please call or come into the restaurant between 11 am and 3 pm and ask to speak with a manager on duty. They will be happy to check. Due to business levels, we would suggest calling or coming in when we open at 11 am. We apologize for any inconvenience.

All takeout orders are based on dine in volume, please call ahead to see if takeout is being offered for your requested time frame.

Due to business levels, we are unable to host private events outside of our regular dine-in business during our peak season.

Shunk Gulley is named after a historic fishing reef in the Gulf just south of the restaurant, once used as a navigational landmark by local fishermen.

Yes. Shunk Gulley has been voted Best Oysters on the Emerald Coast and is one of 30A's best-known spots for fresh Gulf oysters, served both raw and grilled.

Yes. Shunk Gulley partners with the South Walton Artificial Reef Association (SWARA) to deploy new reef structures in the Gulf and runs the CBA O.Y.S.T.E.R. Program, which recycles oyster shells into future reef material.

Yes. Shunk Gulley sources oysters and other seafood from local Gulf fisheries and farms as part of its Gulf-to-table approach.

Both. Shunk Gulley serves oysters raw on the half shell and grilled, so guests can choose based on preference.

Through the CBA O.Y.S.T.E.R. Program, guests can personalize an oyster shell for a donation. Those shells are later used to help build new artificial reef structures in the Gulf, in partnership with the South Walton Artificial Reef Association (SWARA).
